There’s nothing like a public break-up to make a relationship grow stronger and Love Island winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham have hit back at reports that they were ‘together for commercial reasons’.
Just a few days ago, Dani had announced on Instagram that her and Jack were splitting up but there was some quick backtracking made by the couple in the following 24 hours.
With a reality TV show and the Love Island Christmas Reunion being filmed, there were claims that Dani, 22, had only got back together with Jack, 27, as they would miss out on some upcoming paydays.
This has been quashed by Dani though, as she insisted that their love was real and that they weren’t ‘in it for the money’.
The fight back against those knocking their relationship began when Jack posted a sweet black and white photo of the couple in each other’s arms, on Instagram.
He tagged girlfriend Dani in the caption, accompanied by, "Yo little guy."
Dani, who is the daughter of EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, was quick to reply with, "Love you baby."
She followed this instantly with the cutting remark, "oh wait wait maybe I shouldn’t say that because we together for money apparently??"
Dani didn’t leave it there either, as she told Jack’s 2.6 million Instagram followers: "Yeah tbh I should get paid for picking up your pants…"
This completes a quick turnaround in the status of the pair, with Dani’s father insisting that they never separated in the first place.
Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, which will air this Saturday, Danny was forthright with his dismissal of what happened.
He said: "They’ve had a row, she’s got a bit emotional and I think she has whacked that [message] up and immediately regretted it.
"You know what women are like… I’m just saying she got a little bit irate, screaming and shouting, the ultimate way to punish him maybe. I don’t know what was going on but I can tell you now, they’re sweet."
