Curtis Pritchard QUITS Dancing With The Stars Ireland after three years

Curtis Pritchard has announced that he has quit Dancing With The Stars after three years.

The 23 year old was a professional dancer on the Irish version of the hit dance show before he took part in Love Island earlier this year.

But since finishing in fourth place on the ITV dating show with girlfriend Maura Higgins, Curtis has been inundated with career opportunities.

He has joined the casts of BBC shows The Greatest Dancer and RuPaul's Drag Race UK and fronted campaigns for Debenhams and WW (formerly Weight Watchers).

Curtis will also be joining his brother AJ on his 2020 headline tour and will make his pantomime debut in Dick Whittington in High Wycombe next month.

With his diary continuously filling up, Curtis has decided now is the time to step down from his professional dancing duties on the RTE hit.

Speaking to RSVP Live, Curtis said: "I was part of Dancing With The Stars for three years.

"The show was a massive part of my life and I loved every single minute of it."

He continued to say: "It was a massive journey for me but I am not a part of it anymore."

But he has insisted there is no bad blood between him and his former castmates, as he went along to their recent live show.

He said: "I booked a ticket myself and I came alone, I didn't tell anyone that I was coming here.

"I wanted to come and support the tour because the show was a big part of my life."

Curtis was partnered with model Thalia Heffernan and businesswoman Norah Casey during his time on the show.

His new co-star Jordan Banjo, who hosts The Greatest Dancer alongside Alesha Dixon, recently shared his praise for the reality star exclusively to OK! online.

He told us: "As soon as I saw Curtis, I went into fan mode and said: 'Curtis, I’ve got to ask mate, when you’re in [Love Island] how do you eat?'

"Curtis is a really, really nice guy. It’s quite a big role to step into – he’s the first face people see when they come for literally the biggest audition of their lives, and it’s your job to wish them luck and send them on their way.

"And that’s not an easy thing to do, but Curtis just absolutely smashed it.

“He’s such a nice guy. Curtis is so cool and he’s just sat there chatting to everyone and that’s the sort of person I’d like to be sat there with, someone who’s going to chat to you and reassure you and send you on your way so you go in feeling your best."

Alesha has also sent praise to her new co-star, writing under Curtis’ Instagram post: "You were amazing!" when he shared his experience of filming for the new show.

Fans were also huge Curtis fans, with one writing: "I was in the audience today and you did such an amazing job! Your personality shone through."

A second wrote: "Watched it tonight it was amazing!!!! You did so well well done!!!! [sic]," while another added: "Saw you today! I was watching in the audience!"
