Could Gemma Collins be gearing up for a stint on Celebrity X Factor?
Speculation that the GC could make an appearance on the singing competition, either as a judge or a singer, is rife after she was spotted at Simon Cowell’s London offices.
The 38-year-old Towie star was pictured at the Syco HQ, and if that wasn’t a big red sign about her location, she later updated her fans by posting pictures and videos of the posh interior on her Instagram.
In one clip featuring silver sofas, she captioned: ‘London town MEETINGS.’
What meetings, GC? Stop teasing and tell us.
Earlier this year Simon Cowell revealed that he could get rid of the singing contest and replace it with a celebrity all-stars version instead.
Though GC remains mum about her future projects, and insider told The Daily Star that she may well have a hand in the new talent show, of which details remains scarce.
A source told the publication previously: ‘We want big and exciting stars and The GC is popular and we reckon she makes entertaining viewing. More important, she can sing.’
They added: ‘Simon has handled many divas over the years with the likes of Sharon Osbourne and Mel B, so we reckon he will be able to deal with this Essex one.’
There may be a spanner in the works, as her on-again-off-again-boyfriend James Argent is also reportedly being eyed up for the show.
Cowell’s ex-girlfriend Sinitta recently confirmed that she’s been in talks about potentially returning to The X Factor later this year.
The 55-year-old told Closer magazine: ‘There have been discussions, but I haven’t signed a contract yet.
‘I’d love to do it, though – Simon’s switching up the formula this year so I’d love to be involved.
‘It would be nice to see past participants like Danni [Minogue] and Louis [Walsh] back.’
The X Factor is set to return to ITV later this year.
