Bradley Walsh looks unrecognisable with blonde hair in unearthed clips from early in his career

Over the years, Bradley Walsh has earned himself national treasure status. These days he’s best known for hosting The Chase and gained worldwide fame after starring in Dr Who as Graham O’Brien.

The 60-year-old also stars in a show with his son Barney called Breaking Dad. It’s fair to say that Bradley is one of the most loved and well known faces on British television.

However, we dug out some old footage from his early days where Bradley looks completely different. It comes from one of Bradley’s first jobs in showbusiness when he was fronting the British adaptation of the hit US game show, Wheel of Fortune.

This takes us way back to 1997 and we can’t get over how different Bradley looks. He’s still sporting the same cheeky grin, but with a head of blonde hair, we can barely recognise him.

The clip shows Bradley using his trademark charm and wit that we all know him so well for to make contestants laugh and feel comfortable.

It was this show that he starred in alongside television personality and radio presenter Jenny Powell.

It was recently announced that Bradley is due to become a grandad after his oldest daughter Hayley revealed she was pregnant on social media.

The showbiz star has had a long and illustrious career and that’s included stints in stand up comedy and plenty of game show hosting gigs.

After quitting his football career due to an ankle injury, Bradley dabbled in stand-up comedy before being plucked out as a potential television star.

He was first recruited by ITV for their new show Midas Touch. He then moved onto Wheel of Fortune, replacing Nicky Campbell for just one year before trying his hand at acting.

Bradley’s first acting job was a small role in Channel 4’s series Lock Stock, but in 2004 he made his first appearance in record breaking soap Coronation Street. Bradley starred as factory owner Danny Baldwin for just over two years.

His biggest acting role in recent years has been that of Graham O’Brien in the hit sci-fi series Dr Who. He features as the companion to Jodie Whittacker’s Dr Who in the eleventh series of the show.

Bradley then reprised this role in 2020 and left the show in the 2021 New Year’s Day special. It’s since been announced that he’ll star as Pop Larkin in the latest adaptation of Darling Buds of May.
