Abbey Road crosswalk finally gets a paint job during corona shutdown

The lines of the famed London crosswalk where the Beatles shot the “Abbey Road” album cover were repainted — because no one is outside due to coronavirus.

A London municipal crew apparently was able to access the road in front of Abbey Road Studios — which usually gets insanely heavy foot traffic.

Meantime, Pitchfork reported that George Harrison’s son Dhani announced that the late, legendary rocker’s foundation is donating $500,000 to the MusiCares Coronavirus Relief Fund and also created an “Inner Light Challenge” for fans to post covers of the Beatles’ tune, “The Inner Light,” for charity.
