He had no symptoms. As daft as it sounds, I\u2019m thankful it was during Covid because I was there with him. Nobody else was. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cBut that was the hardest thing,\u201d she continued. \u201cI had no nurses or doctors come in. Then I took him to the Wakefield Hospice, which is a beautiful place. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI\u2019ll be forever grateful to them. It&#8217;s not a mournful thing,\u201d she said. \u201cI haven&#8217;t had a chance to celebrate his life, so here it is. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI had 13 amazing years with that man&#8230;I think I had the best of him. I&#8217;m glad I was privileged enough to have that time.
