Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be welcoming their newest bundle of joy in only a few short weeks. The whole royal family is extremely excited to welcome a new baby, and people can’t help but wonder about every small detail surrounding the baby bump charmingly known as Baby Sussex. Royal family members tend to have several middle names — but will Harry and Meghan want the same for their baby?
Harry and Meghan’s new baby should arrive by the end of the month
Harry and Meghan first announced their pregnancy back in October 2018. Since then, the couple has released very few details about Baby Sussex. Fans were shocked when the couple got pregnant so soon, and now, people have been dying to know everything about the new baby. Meghan said she is due in late April, but other than that, the people know nothing. She hasn’t said where she’ll give birth or the baby’s gender; some believe Meghan will break royal tradition and give birth somewhere besides St. Mary’s Lindo Wing.
The couple hasn’t released any details about the baby’s name
The couple also hasn’t released any details about the baby’s name. For now, he or she has been dubbed “Baby Sussex.” People do expect that if Harry and Meghan have a girl, they will pay homage to Princess Diana, Harry’s late mother, in some way. It’s possible the baby will be named Diana — or Dina might be a middle name. But the public has been wrong in the past about royal baby names. When Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed Prince Louis, his name was at the bottom of the list for what the public thought the couple would name their baby.
Royals typically have very complex names
When it comes to names, the royals don’t exactly keep it simple. Both Harry and William have three middle names each, and when you add in their royal titles, it’s definitely a mouthful. William’s full name is Prince William Arthur Philip Louis Windsor, and that’s not even including the “Duke of Cambridge” title. Harry’s full name is Prince Henry Charles Albert David Sussex. It’s common protocol in the royal family to be named after several other former royals, and apparently, they don’t like to settle on just one name.
Meghan and Harry have been known to break royal tradition, so it’s possible their baby will have only one middle name
While the royal family tends to choose several middle names,
Meghan hasn’t exactly been a fan of all the royal rules since she joined the
family. She’s been known to do things her own way, and it wouldn’t surprise
anyone if she and Harry opted not to give their children 100 different names. Although
they still haven’t
released any details about what they’ll be calling their new baby, Meghan
was raised with one middle name (it’s actually Meghan — her first name is
Rachel), and it’s possible she will want her own son or daughter to have only
one first name and one middle name as well. However, the two have kept things
under wraps for months now, so nobody will know until Baby Sussex actually
