Maggie Q on sexist fight-scene fashion and her new clothing line

Having tackled badass roles in “Designated Survivor,” “Mission: Impossible III,” “Nikita” and more, Maggie Q knows her way around a fight scene — and won’t stand for productions that put its female stars in corseted costumes or high heels for combat.

“It’s this male delusion-type thing; men think that women fight in heels,” the actress and activist, 40, told Page Six Style. “Listen, if you want to think that, I’m happy for men to think that. Whatever, you can live in your fantasy. But we don’t do that!”

“You’re hired, and you feel very grateful to be there, and you don’t want to rock the boat,” she continued. “[But] you gain experience and wisdom and knowledge, and you find your voice, and they go, ‘How about this?’ And you go, ‘No, I’m going to fight in combat boots, like your male lead is.’”

For a more comfortable option, there’s Q’s new activewear line, Qeep Up, comprised of super-soft leggings, sports bras, bodysuits, swimwear and even “workout overalls,” all made from recycled marine waste. (Even the packaging is fully biodegradable.)

“We hooked up with a company who basically collects ocean waste from the Eastern Seaboard, they melt the bottles and then they turn them into flakes, and the flakes get spun into yarn. It’s fascinating, the technology,” the Hawaii-born conservationist explained.

Above, Q discusses her favorite pieces from the collection, her workout routine, her commitment to sustainability and more.
