These days, we all know that fashion can be pretty extreme.
From wearing jeans so ripped they cover nothing to bold colours that could blind you if you stare at them for too long.
But one trend that really causes controversy is that of underwear as outwear and one woman has recently come under fire for giving it a go.
Australian food blogger Karylle Banez has been slammed on social media for wearing a bralette out to dinner – and the restaurant she visited have found themselves in a spot of hot water for reposting a photo of her in it.
Karylle, who has more than 60,000 followers on Instagram shared a snap of herself dining at Fine and Fettle in Stepney, South Australia one week ago.
In the photo she is sitting behind a table full of food, wearing a white mesh bralette by Meshki and brandishing a wine glass.
Fine and Fettle, who have partnered with the blogger, shared her pics on their own accounts, sparking fierce backlash from their customers.
Many were appalled by the young woman's outfit, branding it "tacky" and not appropriate attire for a meal out.
One person commented: "It's meant to be promoting a restaurant, not a night club. Nothing against the girl she is stunning, but I don't think it's the right image for a restaurant."
Another wrote: "I was under the impression it was a restaurant… not a gentleman's club."
"So I can wear no top to your cafe and you would be completely fine with this," asked one outraged woman. "Dress codes have changed in public dining that's for sure, and if not, this is a strange message to advertise to your customers."
A fourth added: "Tacky. This screams 'our business needs more attention'."
Fine and Fettle were shocked by the backlash and shared a comment in response.
A spokesperson said: "We're a little shocked at the negative comments that have been put up. It was never our intention to offend, however, we also do not appreciate this type of offensiveness from our community.
"Karylle is not only a lovely person, but has always been a great supporter of Fine and Fettle.
"We do not discriminate full stop. Everyone is welcome to wear what they choose and should not be so superficially judged."
They continued: "Our food does and has always spoken for itself. We are simply promoting our nights and sharing Karylle's experience at Fettle.
"Before commenting, we'd appreciate if you had some thought on the fact that this is a real person, with real feelings."
Dozens agreed with the restaurant's stance and praised Karylle for looking "beautiful".
Others proclaimed that she should be able to wear whatever she wants without being objectified.
