TJ quipped: ‘Ooooh we don’t know anything about those! Not seen those before!’

Camp was thrown into chaos when it rained for two days and the stars were running out of fresh clothes to wear.

Having presented DIY SOS since 1999, Nick drew on his skills when he made rope out of Rita Simons’ bed sheet when she was voted out of the jungle.

He admitted: ‘I am 9/10 useless on building site but years ago I saw someone making rope from grass. I’m fascinated by that kinda thing.

‘It was a sheet which I ripped into strips and turned out it made amazing ropes. It had been raining two days straight.

‘I was stuck in camp with nothing to do and it worked amazed me like running a laundry all day.’

Nick lost more than two stone living on the notoriously slimming diet made up of  rations rice and beans.

‘I’m was in the jungle for 19 days and I lost 14 kilos,’ he confessed.

‘I’m feeling OK. Such a great bunch of people. Sad to leave the jungle but also by the same token really glad to get out. It was hellish and fun at the same time.’

According to reports, this year’s stars lost a staggering four stone after just a week on basic rations.

After just seven days in camp, The Sun reported that some of the campmates were already seeing the results of the ‘jungle diet’, with Harry Redknapp and Nick Knowles among the biggest losers.

Emily Atack eagerly celebrated her weight loss, as she gushed that she’ll ‘have a bit of room’ when she returns to the UK to indulge over the festive season.

The source said: ‘We believe between them the campmates have lost around four stone. What the celebs are eating is very healthy, from veg to meat protein and fish and that is absorbed quickly by the body.

‘The weight loss doesn’t do any permanent damage, and most pile it back on within three weeks, especially in the build-up to Christmas.

‘The celebs see it as a detox, although at the time it’s very difficult as they have nothing to distract from the hunger.’

Also Nick enthused it was ‘bloody hilarious and fantastic’ that his latest song had topped the iTunes charts while he was in the jungle.

He joked: ‘As if people weren’t suffering enough already! They had me singing as well. Fleur East has this amazing voice and everyone felt like joining in.

‘Then the messages from my son about iTunes! Chris Moyles had got me to number one! Bloody hilarious and fantastic. It’s just bonkers. Go to a bargain bin for about 99p.’

Nick named both Harry Redknapp and Fleur East as his former camp mates he would like to be crowned the winner of this year’s series.

The I’m A Celeb star admitted he would also like to see James McVey scoop the winning title but he claimed it would be unfair as James misses his girlfriend.
